Once again the South Simcoe Streams Network will be holding its tree planting projects targeting the planting of 4000 native trees and shrubs along streams in South Simcoe.
Two community plants in Adjala Tosorontio are being planned; along the Boyne River and Rosemont Creek.
The Adjala-Tosorontio Project Team is not only looking for volunteer planters, but also for a volunteer group that can host lunch or snack for the volunteers.
We are also seeking contributors of food and drink items for the events.
The planting day will be held the weekend of May 15th from 9:00 to noon or 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a barbecue to follow.
Knowing that the community holds many functions during the month of May, please tell us which of the following dates and times would best provide an opportunity for your group to participate:
- Saturday May 15 from 9:00 a.m. to noon
- Saturday May 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Sunday May 16 from 9:00 a.m. to noon
- Sunday May 16 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
To help out, simply call or email me with your group name, contact information and preference date.
I’ll gladly get back to you to discuss details.
Thank you for taking the time to consider taking part in this community event.
